NESOV is a non-profit making and non-governmental
independent human rights organization established in 2002
to advance victimological advocacy, research, program development
for the assistance to victims and victims' rights in Nepal.
It holds an official representative status of World Society
of Victimology (WSV) in Nepal.
NESOV, initiated by a committed group of
victimology graduates, lawyers, university teachers, sociologists
and human rights defenders in Nepal, aims at documenting cases
of all forms of victims, advocating their rights, undertaking
victimological research and enhancing victim services. It
has also been working to protect and promote human rights
and democracy through advocacy, research, publication, campaign
and capacity development programs.
It has been stood as one of the frontline research based human
rights organizations in Nepal. Post conflict peace building
and social healing; transitional justice and victims’ reconciliation
are the major contemporary agendas of NESOV.
Vision:
NESOV envisions the establishment of a democratic, equitable
